NANS Turkish Zone Writes to Nigerian Government Over Financial Difficulties of Nigerians Students in Diaspora [PRESS RELEASE]

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Turkish Zone yesterday release a statement about the financial difficulties facing nigerians students abroad, and also improvise the measures taken by the Association.
Below is the statement:

This Guy Stole his female boss' Car to attend a Valentine party.

A driver, Emmanuel John, has been arrested for allegedly duplicating his boss’ car key to attend a party.

John, 26, was arrested at Abraham Adesanya Estate in Lekki last Sunday night for alleged attempted theft of the Toyota Corolla car marked EPE 642 DX, which he planned to take to a Valentine’s Day party at Splash Hotel in Sangotedo, Ajah.

John had a week before his plan, cut the Toyota Corolla key without the knowledge of his boss, Mrs Flora Ighalo.

On Sunday afternoon when he was not supposed to be at work, he allegedly sneaked into the Abraham Adesanya Estate residence of his boss, and took away the car with the cut key.

RRS quoted John as saying: “I and my friend, Oscar, want to carry the Toyota Corolla to Splash Hotel’s Valentine Show on Sunday night. I persuaded Madam to give me the go-ahead to cut a spare key but she declined. A week before February 14, I duplicated the key without her knowledge in Obalende. “Even though, she excuses me from work on Sundays, I sneaked into her residence and took away the car after church. I took the car to my residence in Ajuwe Area, Ajah, Lagos. “My plan was that, after the Valentine show, it’s going to be stressful for me to leave the show around 3am, go home and freshen up and set out for Abraham Adesanya Estate around 4am for the day’s work, but with the car, it’s going to be easy for me to make it to work. “After driving the car round Ajah, I was on my way home around 8pm when I saw Madam calling my set. She asked me where I was and I told her and she said I should come to her house that I was going to take her somewhere. I turned the car and I headed towards Abraham Adesanya Estate. “I was at Abraham Adesanya Estate Roundabout trying to enter the estate, when a man double crossed me and RRS officials arrested me. They asked me where I took the car to since morning and I explained everything to them. “Madam has been very nice to me. She pays me N35,000 monthly. I am almost like her family member. I am always at ease with her and her family.

Cyprus beaches ranked No1 and No3 in the Top 10 Best Beaches of Europe.

i.x3-20140107

According to Trip Advisor, a very popular tourist guide website, Cyprus beaches ranked No1 and No3 in the Top 10 Best Beaches of Europe. The first place went to Ayia Napa while the third place to Protaras.

Nissi Beach is the most popular beach in the Ayia Napa area and probably the most well known on the island of Cyprus. It is made up of 2 connecting beaches, one long and lively, the other smaller and quieter. The beaches have golden sands and the waters are clean and clear. It is possible to walk out for up to a hundred meters without the water passing your waist and there are many sand bars in the shallows.

A variety of watersports can be enjoyed including pedalloes, parasailing and inflatables. Nissi means small island in Greek and there is indeed a small island which during the summer can be reached by walking through the shallow water. During the spring it is possible to walk over without getting wet feet at all.

Nissi Beach can be reached via the coastal path which runs from the harbour or by road along Nissi avenue. Plenty of refreshment options can be found along the beach including snack bars and cafe’s. The Eastern end of the beach is fairly quiet and relaxing, in contrast the other end is home to the Nissi Bay Beach Bar which draws crowds with it’s daily programme of entertainment including top name DJ’s, foam parties, beach parties and other events.

Nissi is definitely the beach to visit to see and be seen with lots of posing and preening going on. During the peak months you can expect loud music, lots of bling, plenty of makeup and very little clothing in the area around the Nissi bay beach bar.

Fig Tree Bay is a sandy beach in the resort of Protaras, Cyprus. In 2011, TripAdvisor declared it to be the third best beach in Europe!

As with all beaches in Cyprus, access to the public is free, whilst bed and umbrella hire is chargeable.

The sandy beach stretches for 500m and the waters are clean enough for the beach to have been awarded blue flag designation. The beach, which runs the length of its own cove, takes its name from the fig trees located close to the coast.

There is an uninhabited islet easily reached by swimming through the shallow waters, the location of which provides a good shelter for the rest of the beach.

In contrast to other local beaches, such as Nissi, Fig Tree Bay has become a popular destination for families. Water sports such as water-skiing, windsurfin, and parasailing are available.

In 2010, during structural improvements to the beach, an ancient Greek tomb was unearthed. The beach was mentioned in a song titled “Fig Tree Bay” – the first song on the 1972 Wind of Change album by Peter Frampton.
