THE UN Special Adviser to Nicosia Espen Barth Eide said that there is a possibility of referendum on the re-unification of Cyprus next year.
Eide, made the remarks at the Centre of Visual Arts & Research in Nicosia last night.
According to the Turkish Cypriot PIO, which sent a bulletin titled "Referendum is possible before May 2016” the envoy also said that the negotiating process is progressing well.
He said it is the first time that there are three ingredients in the Cyprus talks: "Genuine trust, genuine will and leadership."
The two sides, he noted, have changed their attitude from defending their positions to an attitude of solving problems together.
