A YEAR AFTER THE ABDUCTION OF OVER 200 CHIBOK GIRLS

13.04.2015  marks one year since the abduction of over 200 girls from Chibok by the Boko Haram insurgency. An incident that continues to cause heart break in the heart of most Nigerian both at home and abroad. It has also received lots of attention from the International community and notable celebrities from all parts of the World. According to Falana's report on premium times; the illegal abduction of these girls has been reported by the social medial to the Federal governmentm but was dismissed. The reason of which is said was an attempt to prevent forceful rescue of the girls from the the non-state actors. Moreover, the peaceful protests carried out by the #Bring Back our Girls# protesters by the government is a manifestation of  suspicious involvement. The implication of the Federal government to act points out to the absence of a geniune reason for failing to act.

In light of the relucatance of the Federal government to the Brng back our girls campaign, is a controversial  effort  that contributes to illustrating the  ingeniuinity in rescuing the Chibok girls . The categorical acknowledgement made by the Goodluck Jonathan  Administration corraborating the whereabout of the chibok girls being kept in the forest of Sambosa in Borno State is enough to understand that less was done to get our girls back, It is with great hope that we see a further intensification made by the Military in bringing our girls back, safe, sound and alive.
