THE COUNTDOWN to the next Cyprus Rally is now on, with the popular event scheduled to take place from September 25-27.
"The Cyprus Rally is becoming 44 years old and for decades, it has thrilled both fans and competitors, and I'm pleased to say we expect more of the same this year! With all our experience, we know exactly what it takes to make a rally a success, and we've gone all out this year to ensure that this will be repeated,” said Nayia Kontopoulou, the Clerk of the Course.
The headquarters for the event will be based in the well-known Filoxenia conference centre, that hosted the Cypriot Presidency of the EU in 2012.
The Service Park will be situated close by at the Lieutenant General Evangelos Florakis street in Nicosia.
Competitors will head out from the city to tackle the special stages situated in the Nicosia and Larnaca districts.
"Once again competitors from the European and the Middle East Rally Championships will come to Cyprus for the 2015 cnp asfalistiki Cyprus Rally. I look forward to welcoming you to our island and hope I will see you all at the Ceremonial Start which will be held in the Larnaka promenade (Phoenikoudes) on Friday 25th September,” Kontopoulou added.
